Monks negotiate flood water to accept alms in Phichit
Monks in a village in Phichit Pho Prathap Chang district walked through flood water to collect alms on Tuesday morning after the Yom River burst its banks.
The old market area in Moo 9 village in tambon Wangchik was flooded, affecting monks of the Wangchuck Temple. The monks walked through the water to collect alms from devout Buddhists who were standing in front of their flooded homes. Phra Thawee said the flood did not discourage the monks from performing the daily ritual of collecting alms because devout Buddhists like him gave alms every morning. Nation News
