A Buddhist monk sparked outrage after being seen standing half-naked in the middle of the road while masturbating.
The dirty deity had his sacred orange robes by his ankles as he pleasured himself in the early hours of Sunday morning November 8 in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand.
A shocked local saw the perverted monk while they were riding home at 2 am. They said they noticed the orange figure standing on the roadside before realising it was a monk exposing himself when they drew closer.
Footage of the flasher sparked outrage before police intervened and questioned the monk, later identified as Phra Kor, 39, over the incident.
Phra Kor allegedly admitted the indecent exposure to the police but said he only did it out of frustration.
Officials from the Sansai Monk Association reportedly disciplined the monk and transferred him to a different temple.
They said he had vowed not to repeat it and “will reflect on his mistakes in his new home.”
Thai law states that monks cannot be jailed, but those who are caught violating laws are threatened with being defrocked even before guilt is determined.
