Minor quake hits large part of Loei, three districts affected

A low-level earthquake hit various districts in Loei province on Sunday night.

 

The Seismology Bureau said the quake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale happened at 10.08pm and that the epicentre was located at latitude 17.24° north and longitude 101.91° east.

Villagers in Tambon Khok Khamin and Tambon Phanoi, Wang Saphung district and those in Tambon Pan Pherm, Pha Khao district plus some residents near Nong Hin market in Nong Hin district said they felt the tremor for about five seconds. Some said it felt like a truck was driving past.
