Met hunt masked sex attacker linked to seven crimes in a month

A serial flasher and sex attacker who targets women while riding a bike is being hunted in London.

The attacker wears a mask while committing the crimes and is a suspect in at least seven incidents.

Now a CCTV image of a man police say they need to identify has been released.

He was seen wearing a black zip hoody, grey joggers with a thick black stripe from hip to knee, potentially wearing a bike lock around his neck and a chequered baseball cap His bike is described as black and silver.

The Metropolitan Police has also revealed details of seven incidents across four-and-a-half weeks as it appeals for witnesses.

The majority of the incidents happened in the E3 postcode area of Tower Hamlets in east London.

A statement from the force said: ‘At this time, officers are aware of seven offences. 

‘On each occasion the suspect has cycled up behind a woman before either exposing himself or carrying out a sexual assault. 

‘On four of the occasions the male has also been reported to have masturbated during the incidents.’

Police patrols in the area have been increased and investigators are asking for witnesses and any potential further victims who have not yet come forward to make contact.
