Man United vs Liverpool early ticket holders paid double

Football fans arrive at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bang Kapi district, Bangkok, hours ahead of an exhibition match between arch-rivals Manchester United and Liverpool, which will kick off around 8pm on

Thai Rath reported that the latest drama surrounding the event – and there have already been many – was that tickets were being sold yesterday outside Rajamangala stadium for half price.

This was making those who had paid early bird prices furious.

Tickets for 7,000 baht were going for 3,500 baht, 14,000 for 7,000 and 15,000 for 7,500 baht.

So many seats were available for tonight’s Liverpool vs. Man U match in Bangkok that Rajamangala Stadium announced via Facebook that they would hand out free tickets to “The Match” at 3:30pm today. Football fans who forked out up to 25,000 baht per ticket are furious.

Sure enough, football fans clad in red shirts raced to the stadium and queued up until all the free tickets were gone.

What a mess hope the match is a good one
