Man shoots Self: A man shot himself to death at a Bangkok bus stop early on Tuesday after sending Line messages to his friend and daughter.

The Min Buri police station was alerted to the suicide at 3am at a bus stop in front of Soi Sam Wa 4 off Sam Wa road in Bangkok’s Bang Chan district.

Police said Pramote Iam-aram, 50, a factory worker in the area, died inside the bus stop from a gunshot to his right temple. A .357 revolver was found beside him.

His friend, Preecha Jarassopha, 42, told police at the scene that he got a Line message from Pramote at 1.56 am, asking him to take care of Pramote’s daughter after he had gone.

The message also told Preecha to meet Pramote at the bus stop.

Pramote’s daughter, Wareerat Iam-aram, 21, told police she got a Line message from her father asking her to take care of herself, and so also came to check at the bus stop and found the body.
