Man Jumps on Moving Car Bonnet After Argument With Wife in Nonthaburi
NONTHABURI, Thailand — A dramatic domestic dispute near Bangkok captured public attention after a 65-year-old Thai man, Taewin, was filmed sitting on the bonnet of his wife’s moving car following an argument. The incident, which took place around 10 p.m. on April 9, was shared on Facebook by witness Pornpom Ounnuch, who described it as “very dangerous.”
The couple, who have been together for nearly 10 years, reportedly clashed over Nae’s 9-year-old son from a previous marriage. Nae, a 30-year-old Burmese national, said her husband had told her to leave their home in Nonthaburi after he asked the child to move so he could sleep beside her. Wanting him to treat her son as his own, Nae left the house with both her children in the car — only for Taewin to leap onto the bonnet to stop her.
The vehicle was seen traveling at speed with Taewin seated on the front. Despite efforts from Pornpom to get her to pull over, Nae continued driving until they were stopped by Sai Noi police, who happened to be nearby on patrol.
Nae later explained she had been en route to the police station herself before being intercepted. Both parties were taken to the station for further discussion.
