A man has been killed and a pensioner is fighting for life following a multiple stabbing in Brentford, West London.
The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene on Albany Parade, while a woman in her 80s has been rushed to hospital
The double attack happened at around 8pm but the circumstances are not yet clear.
However, police say there is nothing to suggest that the incident is linked to terrorism.
Footage from the scene shows there is a huge police presence in the area.
A cordon is in place around a stretch of houses with forensic officers looking for evidence at the crime scene.
No arrest has been made and enquiries are ongoing to identify the victim so they can contact his family.
A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
Witnesses have been asked to come forward as detectives investigate the circumstances of the incident.
