Man Arrested After Viral Video Shows Drug Use in Jomtien
Pattaya police have arrested a man caught on video openly using drugs in an alley in Jomtien, despite the presence of passing tourists. The clip, which recently went viral on Thai social media, sparked widespread concern.
Following an investigation, authorities tracked down the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Mr. Nantawut, on Thappraya Road on February 10. He reportedly admitted to being the individual in the video and confessed to drug use. A urine test confirmed the presence of illegal substances in his system.
Mr. Nantawut has been taken into custody for legal proceedings, and police continue their crackdown on illicit drug activities.
Pattaya police urge the public to report any drug-related incidents or illegal behavior to the Pattaya Police Station, which operates 24/7.
