Leicester City 3 Arsenal 0: Foxes Boss Poor Gunners!

Leicester City Bossed This Game From The Kick Off And The Score Might Have Been The Same Even With Eleven V Eleven. Match Highlights. Player Ratings. Manager Comments, And Stats.

Playing against ten men is never easy as Arsenal found out a few weeks ago against Watford. Arsenal were winning 1-0 when Watford had Troy Deeney sent off in the 11th minute. The score remained 1-0 and Arsenal, after almost a complete season, had kept their first away day clean sheet of the season.

In this game, the reverse happened when Arsenal lost Ainsley Maitland-Niles for two yellow cards after 36 minutes with the score at 0-0. But Leicester controlled this game before that and they continued to do so.

Unai Emery

In his press conference Arsenal boss, Unai Emery went on and on about the sending off and how this had a big impact on the game! But in this situation, you need fighters and Arsenal don’t seem to have enough! Now they’ve lost three in a row and conceded three in each game. Something that has not happened for over 50 years.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

Ainsley Maitland-Niles 1st yellow came in the 8th minute as he blocked Ben Chilwell on Leicester’s left as Chilwell tried to launch a quick counter-attack. Twenty-eight minutes later Maitland-Niles took out James Maddison and out came another yellow followed quickly by Michael Oliver’s red.

James Maddison And Youri Tielemans

Leicester signed Maddison from Norwich for £25 million and Youri Tielemans, from Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, Belgium is on loan from Monaco.

Maddison is 22 and Tielemans will be 22 next week. There is talk that Tielemans might cost Leicester £40 million but that fee could be increasing and other clubs might be watching the situation. A Tielemans, cheque-book war, might be just around the corner.

Pattaya One: Youri Tielemans heads Leicester’s first against Arsenal.

These two combined in the 59th minute as Maddison crossed from the right and Tielemans headed firmly in from eight yards.

Kasper Schmeichel

Kasper Schmeichel played a big part in goal number two as his long punt fell nicely for Jamie Vardy on the edge of Arsenal’s box. Vardy lobbed the onrushing Bernd Leno but hit the bar. Vardy kept his composure to head in the rebound and he rounded off the goals with a tap in after good work from Ricardo Pereira on Leicester’s right.

Pattaya One: Jamie Vardy heads Leicester’s second against Arsenal.

Bernd Leno

Leno, before and after Maitland-Niles sending off, made some great saves to keep the score down.

One final word on the Maddison and Tielemans. If Leicester can keep these two for next season they could be competing with the big 6!
