Lamborghini Teams Up With Go-Kart Company To Produce Mini-Huracán

Lamborghini

Electronics company Xiaomi has teamed up with Lamborghini to create a go-kart version of its iconic Huracán car.

This little nugget can reach speeds of up to 40km/h (25mph) and has been detailed to resemble its bigger brother.

The go-kart comes dripping in that Raging Bull yellow, ‘Ice Lake Blue’ LED headlights and even an audio emulation system that replicates the sound that bellows whenever the normal sized Huracán V10 speeds off from a red light.

To top it all off, it comes with a set of drift tyres that will allow you to pretend you’re racing in Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift.

The machine comes with a 432Wh battery, which will permit you to do around 62 laps on a 400 metre course. In total, that will allow you to drive around 24 kilometres. It can take riders up to 100kgs in weight, meaning it’s suitable for kids and adults.

It’s certainly not a cheap hobby though.

The Xiaomi Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition will set you back US $1,440 (£1,100/AU $2,000).

At the moment, it’s only available to buy in China however an international release is expected to be opened up later.

Lamborghini has certainly been diversifying this year, especially after the company unveiled plans for an impressive yacht.

It’s called the Tecnomar 63 and, with a cheeky £3.4 million price tag, it looks unbelievably impressive. The 63 number is in reference to when Lamborghini was founded in 1963.

The ultra-light vessel is made from carbon fibre and will be powered by two V12 engines, each making 2,000 horsepower.

Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said: “This yacht represents the significance of creating a valuable partnership, at its best: our co-operation allows the essence of both organisations’ style and expertise to be transferred to different worlds, sharing in their diversity to interpret and add value to the final product in a new environment.

“If I had to imagine a Lamborghini on water, this would be my vision. I’m delighted to celebrate this successful collaboration.”

There will only be 63 of these bad boys produced and the price tag will mean only the superbly rich will be able to afford it. The first boat will be available to buy next year, so you’ve got a bit of time to start saving.
