Kanye West Claims $40 Million Earnings Following Controversy

Kanye West Claims $40 Million Earnings Following Controversy

Kanye West has sparked significant outrage once again, claiming he earned $40 million the day after sharing his controversial anti-Semitic views on X and promoting T-shirts featuring swastikas on his online shopping platform.

In a series of inflammatory tweets earlier this month, the 47-year-old rapper expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler and even proclaimed, “I’m a Nazi,” while announcing the sale of offensive T-shirts with Nazi symbols on his Yeezy website.

West stated on X, “I will write this more poetically in a bit, as I’m finishing my verse for Game’s album. The idea of being Jew-proof is that I said all these politically incorrect things, and nobody was able to stop me, extort me, or threaten me into changing anything.”

He further added, “And I made $40 million the next day between my different businesses. There are many Jewish people I know and love and still work with. The point I made is that I am not under Jewish control anymore. In war, you take a couple of losses. I lost one of my favorite Yeezy designers named Simon, who tailored the Grammy dress. That was a major loss.”

However, the backlash was swift. Shopify, the e-commerce platform hosting West’s site, deactivated it shortly after, removing the controversial clothing items. The $20 T-shirts bore the code HH-01, which the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) flagged as a reference to the Nazi salute, “Heil, Hitler.”

Addressing the removal of Yeezy from Shopify, West described the action as “a major victory,” stating, “I HATE SHOPIFY AND I ALWAYS HAVE.” In a statement to NBC News, Shopify confirmed the decision, explaining that all merchants must adhere to platform rules and that West’s actions violated those terms.

As the situation unfolds, West’s comments and the implications of his actions continue to draw widespread condemnation and concern.
