Jake Paul has addressed Conor McGregor’s recent comments regarding his upcoming fight against Mike Tyson, scheduled for November 15 at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.
McGregor expressed his displeasure about the matchup on social media, ridiculing both Paul and Tyson. In response, Paul mimicked the Irishman in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Conor McGregor’s crash out needs to be studied,” which quickly garnered over 700,000 views.
Paul further escalated the exchange by saying, “And for the record, I would destroy this guy in the ring or in the cage. Keep begging for your date, hahaha.”
McGregor has not fought since 2021 and was slated to face Michael Chandler; however, he had to withdraw due to injury. The UFC star has confirmed that he won’t return until next year, focusing on his fitness in the meantime. “It’ll be 2025. My scheduled opponent, Chandler, is matched against former champion Charles Oliveira in November,” he mentioned.
When asked about his future fights, McGregor added, “I’m not really sure what comes next. No one in the space knows. I remain the highest-generating fighter on the planet right now, and what will happen when I’m a free agent is uncertain.”
Paul has previously criticized McGregor, suggesting that the 36-year-old is afraid to fight him. “He can talk all he wants, but The Notorious MMA is scared of Jake Joseph Paul from Disney Channel. I put that on my mama.”
As the date draws closer, the tension between Paul and McGregor continues to simmer, adding extra intrigue to both fighters’ upcoming bouts.
