Indian Woman Found Dead in Pattaya Hotel, Family Accuses Husband of Murder
A 32-year-old Indian woman, Priyanka Sharma, was found dead in the bathroom of a Pattaya hotel while on a trip with her husband, Dr. Ashish Srivastava, and their son. Her family alleges that her husband, a doctor, sedated and drowned her in the bathtub.

The couple, along with their child, traveled to Pattaya on January 4 for what was reportedly a reconciliation trip. In the early hours of January 8, Priyanka’s family received a call informing them that she had died from an accidental drowning.

However, Priyanka’s father, Satyanarayan Sharma, has accused Ashish of foul play, claiming that she called him on January 7, expressing discomfort after her husband allegedly added something to her drink. The family believes Ashish sedated her and then drowned her.

Satyanarayan also alleged that Ashish had been involved in an extramarital affair, which strained the couple’s relationship. In 2022, Priyanka had reportedly filed a police complaint against her husband for harassment, though the matter was later resolved.

Indian media reports indicate that Priyanka’s family has filed a formal complaint with Indian authorities. It remains unclear if Thai police are involved in the investigation, as Ashish has since returned to India.

Dr. Ashish has not issued a public statement regarding the allegations. Priyanka’s death is under investigation, and her family is pressing for justice, citing unresolved suspicions about her sudden and tragic demise.

This case raises questions about cross-border legal proceedings and whether Thai and Indian authorities will collaborate in determining the truth.
