Horrific X-Ray Image Shows Woman’s Hip After Crashing With Her Feet On Dashboard

Horrific X-Ray Image

A sickening X-ray of a woman’s hip injury has been released by police in a bid to stop passengers from travelling with their feet on the dashboard.

The woman’s hips were crushed when she was involved in a collision while her feet were up on the dashboard. One hip was broken, while the other was completely dislocated from the impact.
The shocking image was posted on Twitter by a police officer.

Sergeant Ian Price, of Dyfed-Powys Police in Wales, wanted to warn other front seat passengers against relaxing with their feet up while travelling.

Mr Price said: “Here is an X-ray of horrific injuries sustained to the front seat passenger who had their feet on the dashboard at the time of a collision.

“If you see your passenger doing it stop driving and show them this.”

Although it’s not known exactly what condition the woman is in now, her injuries are described as ‘life-changing’, according to the Daily Mail.

It seems the image definitely did its job, with people voicing their shock at the effects of a seemingly insignificant act.

One man responded saying: “I am 60 and have put feet on dash many times in my life… I know I will be stopping it now and will be sharing this post around everyone I know.”

Someone else tweeted: “Thanks for this, I’ve been known to do this occasionally but not anymore!”
It’s not the first time we have seen these sorts of injuries.

One woman spoke out to warn others about the dangers of putting your feet up on the dashboard after she was left without a forehead for two years.

Gráinne Kealy had a ceramic forehead fitted after the incident, saying the only reason she did was because she had new shoes on, so knew they wouldn’t leave marks on her boyfriend’s car.

Speaking to LADbible, she said: “You see it all the time. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Conor McGregor and Selena Gomez have all posted photos to their Instagram with their feet on the dashboard.

They have billions of followers who see that. You see it in films and on TV, it’s everywhere.

“I just want to warn others about how dangerous it can be. I didn’t know – and some people say to me ‘how could you have been so stupid?’

but I honestly didn’t realise it could be so dangerous. I thought because I was wearing a seatbelt and was sat up properly in the car, I was safe.

“I want people to learn from my mistake.”
