Gold Jewelry Stolen from Pattaya Apartment After Woman Forgets to Lock Door

PATTAYA, Thailand – A 23-year-old woman, Ms. Kevalin, reported to the authorities on March 3 after her apartment was broken into and nearly 30,000 baht worth of gold jewelry was stolen. The incident occurred in South Pattaya at approximately 10:30 PM on February 28.

Ms. Kevalin explained that she had been living in the apartment for about a year and had left for dinner that evening. In her rush, she forgot to lock her door, assuming that the building’s key card system would prevent unauthorized individuals from entering. Confident that her apartment was secure, she returned the following day only to find that her gold jewelry, worth over 30,000 baht, was missing.

Upon reviewing the building’s CCTV footage, Ms. Kevalin discovered that a woman, estimated to be between 40-45 years old, had gained access to the building by claiming she was waiting for her boyfriend. The suspect was seen attempting door handles and eventually entered Ms. Kevalin’s unlocked apartment. There, she stole a two-baht gold necklace and pendant before quickly leaving the scene without leaving any trace.

Ms. Kevalin has since appealed to the Pattaya City Police Station, urging them to track down the thief and recover her stolen property. She has also offered a reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
