Gas Station Cashier Fatally Stabbed in Chon Buri Robbery; Suspect on the Run

A tragic robbery at a gas station in Chon Buri’s Mueang district left a 44-year-old female cashier dead, after a male employee allegedly stabbed her and fled with her wallet late last night.

The incident occurred at 11:20 p.m. on April 13, at a gas station on Sukprayoon Road. Police Lieutenant Ratchaphon Ratchawakan from Don Hua Lo Police Station responded to the emergency along with rescue personnel from the Thammaratsamimanirat Foundation.

Upon arrival, officers found Krongkanok, a native of Sisaket province, lying in a pool of blood with two stab wounds to her left chest. Despite efforts to resuscitate her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Motive Believed to Be Robbery

According to the gas station owner’s daughter, the victim worked as a cashier, while the suspect was a gas station attendant. Investigators believe the suspect attacked Krongkanok while she was placing money into a safe. Her wallet, containing the cash, was missing following the incident.

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Sarut, originally from Tha Song Yang district in Tak province, is of Karen ethnicity and had been employed at the gas station since February 22.

Investigation Underway

Authorities are currently:

  • Reviewing CCTV footage

  • Interviewing witnesses at and near the crime scene

  • Actively pursuing the suspect, who remains at large

Police are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward.
