Foreign Nationals Arrested in Chonburi Raids for Illegal Entry, Overstays, and Interpol Red Notices
As part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities in the lead-up to the Songkran holiday, immigration authorities across Thailand have intensified operations aimed at suppressing crimes involving foreign nationals. In Chonburi, a series of coordinated raids targeted various locations, including hotels, construction sites, restaurants, and temporary accommodations.
Crackdown on Illegal Entries and Overstays
The operation was primarily focused on verifying the immigration status of foreign nationals and cracking down on illegal entries into the kingdom. Officers conducted surprise raids across different areas, leading to unexpected confrontations. Some of the foreign nationals attempted to flee, with a few leaping over fences or hiding behind buildings and furniture. In a few instances, individuals were caught off guard while eating or socializing, confused by the sudden presence of law enforcement officers.

Legal Processing Underway
All arrested individuals have been charged under the Immigration Act. Following their detention, they have been transferred to local police stations for legal processing and further investigation.
