Father, son injured when pickup crashes through house

Father, son injured when pickup crashes through house.

A father and son were rudely awoken by an unexpected guest early on Monday … a pickup truck that crashed through the wall of their house in Nong Bua Lamphu province.

Chitpol Wongkhamyai, 61, and his son, Panupong Wongkhamyai, 25, suffered multiple cuts from broken glass after the shock intrusion at 4am in Ban Wang Nam Khao village, Tambon Nong Bua. Chitpol told police that they were asleep on a mattress when they suddenly heard a loud noise and were hurled against a wall. They opened their eyes to find that a pickup truck had crashed through the front wall of their house.

The roadside house is also used as a beauty salon on the Nong Bua Lamphu-None Sang road. The truck driver, a woman who lives locally and was named as Kanokwan Phayom, 25, waited for police at the scene. Police suspected she had been driving under influence of alcohol but were waiting for the results of blood-alcohol tests. NTN – EP
