AN ex-gangster claims his dad carried out the notorious Essex Boys murders.
Steve “Nipper” Ellis, 55, claims drug dealers Pat Tate, Tony Tucker and Craig Rolfe were shot for threatening his family.
Ellis, who served time with Tate, said he fell out with the gang after a comment about Tucker’s mistress.
As the feud spiralled, his dad Sid blasted the trio dead in a Range Rover in 1995.
Ellis said in a video: “They threatened to cut off my sister’s finger.”
He fled to Dorset but ex-crim Sid heard the trio were picking up cocaine and followed them to a farm in Rettendon.
He claimed his dad, who died four years ago, rang him to confess the next day but was never suspected by police.
Michael Steele, now 76, and Jack Whomes, 57, were found guilty in 1998 based on the testimony of Darren Nicholls who had been arrested with drugs.
Their convictions are being re-examined.
Essex Police said they were aware of the video.
The Criminal Case Review Commission did not respond.
