Pattaya Police investigators are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 72-year-old Dutchman named Ronald, whose body was found in a room at the Grande Caribbean Condo located on Thapaya Road, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, on the evening of February 20.

When discovered, the body was found unclothed and positioned facedown near the entrance of the room, with the head facing the bathroom. There was a visible throat injury, suspected to have been caused by a sharp object. Authorities are uncertain whether this was the result of a stabbing or if it was related to medical treatment. They are awaiting the findings from the forensic autopsy.

CCTV footage revealed that Mr. Ronald had entered the room on February 16 and had not exited since then until the discovery of his body by a security guard. Initially, a resident reported a foul odor on the fourth floor, prompting the security guard to investigate. Although no signs of rodents were found, the source of the smell was traced to the Dutchman’s room. The security guard then attempted to gain entry but found the door locked. After obtaining a spare key, he unlocked the door and made the grim discovery, prompting him to alert the authorities for further investigation.

Pattaya Police continue to delve into the circumstances of this unfortunate incident.
