An intoxicated British motorbike rider was found with methamphetamine in Patong on Friday, May 24th. The Patong Police informed the Phuket Express that they had established a checkpoint near the Dolphin Roundabout on Taweewong Road in Patong. At 4:00 A.M., a 34-year-old British man was stopped at the checkpoint.
Upon inspection, he was found in possession of an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine. The man was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of illegal possession of a category 1 drug and drunk driving. The Patong Police did not disclose the man’s name or the amount of the illegal drug found in his possession.
