Driver Deliberately Rams Motorcycles

A shocking incident in the Takhiantia area near Pattaya left several people injured after a pickup truck driver reportedly targeted motorcycles in a deliberate rampage. Among the injured were a 47-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy, both in critical condition.

The incident occurred on the evening of January 4th in Chonburi province’s Takhiantia subdistrict. Witnesses reported that the driver of the pickup truck, whose license plate remains unidentified, intentionally rammed into multiple motorcycles across several roads, including Soi Takhiantia 35, 36, and 45.

Emergency responders rushed the victims to local hospitals. Doctors at Pattaya Patthana Hospital performed emergency surgery on the 47-year-old woman for severe internal injuries, while the 17-year-old boy, suffering a serious head injury, was transferred to Chonburi Hospital for specialized treatment.

Police identified the victims as Mr. Sommai Pewbang, 51, Mr. Sathorn Korakan, 23, Ms. Jirasaya Nonthapan, 47, and Mr. Yodthong, 17. Ms. Jirasaya and Mr. Yodthong are currently in critical condition.

Relatives of the victims have filed complaints with Banglamung Police Station, urging authorities to quickly apprehend and punish the driver responsible. The motive for the attacks remains unclear, and police are actively investigating the case.
