A violent altercation erupted in Pattaya on the evening of April 1st, 2024, involving more than 20 individuals. The conflict took place at a daily rental establishment in Soi Kor Phai 14 in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Authorities were summoned to the location at 9:36 PM and successfully diffused the situation between the feuding parties.
During the altercation, a 25-year-old Burmese national named Mr. Myo Zawoo Ci, responsible for overseeing the rental rooms, sustained injuries. He was struck in the head with a blunt object, resulting in a laceration and significant bleeding. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Law enforcement brought all individuals involved to the Pattaya Police Station for further inquiry. Reportedly, a person identified as Mr. Natthawat, aged 17, and his group of construction workers were leasing a room on the property. The conflict arose when a dog on the premises bit Mr. Natthawat on the leg as they were unloading their belongings from a vehicle.
Following treatment at a hospital, Mr. Natthawat returned to the property to seek compensation from the owner. Disagreements ensued, leading to one of Mr. Natthawat’s colleagues striking Mr. Myo with a metal pipe. Interestingly, amidst the chaos, the dog involved in the initial incident, described as a black and white male aged 2-3 years, remained calm, drinking water while observing the commotion.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into the brawl and will be taking appropriate actions against those responsible.
