Cyber Police Warn of 22 Fraudulent Websites Targeting Personal Information
Cyber police have issued a warning about 22 dangerous websites, urging people not to click on them to avoid falling victim to scams and having their personal information stolen.
Pol Lt Gen Trairong Phiwpan, chief of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), explained that scammers often create fake websites promoting investment schemes or job opportunities, luring individuals into providing their personal details. Some of these sites use names that resemble legitimate businesses or organizations, further deceiving potential victims.
The CCIB chief cautioned that clicking on these fraudulent sites could put individuals at risk of identity theft. The warning was shared on the bureau’s official Facebook page.
