Chinese Tourist Loses Control of Luxury Van, Causes Traffic Jam in Pattaya
Pattaya, Thailand – A 43-year-old Chinese tourist lost control of his white Toyota Alphard luxury van while driving along Jomtien Second Road on January 21, leading to a dramatic crash that caused a significant traffic jam. The van flipped onto its side, blocking the road for over 30 minutes.
Rescue workers arrived at the scene and found the driver with minor injuries. After receiving treatment at the site, he was transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The accident also damaged two parked vehicles, a black Chevrolet Cruze and a black Honda Civic. The driver of the Civic, a Turkish tourist, was fortunate to escape the incident without injury.
Witnesses reported seeing the van swerve, seemingly heading toward the sidewalk, before crashing into the rear of the parked vehicles and flipping over. Members of the community quickly helped rescue the driver from the overturned van before authorities arrived on the scene.
Pattaya Police conducted an alcohol breath test on the driver as part of their investigation into the cause of the accident. The incident is currently under legal processing.
