This is the moment a cheeky elephant stopped a truck to steal bales of hay to eat.
The driver had fetched the squares of hay from a nearby market to use in a running race in Nakhon Ratchasima.
But the truck was returning to the Khao Yai National Park when the hungry jumbo suddenly appeared from dense jungle at the side of the road.
Onlooker Savet Rassame, 47, recorded the elephant snag a large bale of hay from the flat-bed truck before it pulled cautiously away on Monday at around 11.30am.
He said: ”The elephant looked like he was having fun eating a new bale of hay.
”It was a big, big elephant so I think he was hungry. I did not want to go to close to it.”
The vast mountainous park is known for having a large number of elephants that roam freely.
But park boss Chief Kanchit Srinappawan said it was rare to see an elephant approach a truck.
He said: ”I don’t know how the elephant knew the truck would be there carrying hay. He may have sensed it or saw them approaching in the distance.
”The elephant came out from the trees and made the driver stop then grabbed the hay.”
