Cambodian Man Injured in Knife Attack After Dispute Over Woman in Pattaya

A Cambodian man was injured in a knife attack by a fellow countryman in Pattaya early on March 5th, following a dispute over a woman.

At 2:06 AM on March 5th, the Pattaya City Rescue Center received a report of an assault on the side of Soi 3 Road. Officers from Pattaya Police Station and the Pattaya City Rescue Team quickly responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found 24-year-old Cambodian national, Mr. Chakra, with a deep wound to his back, believed to have been caused by a sharp object. Rescue workers, along with local citizens, provided immediate first aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, the suspect was hiding inside his accommodation. Officers followed a blood trail and managed to locate the suspect, who appeared to match the description provided by the victim. The suspect then emerged from his room and surrendered to the authorities.

The suspect seemed confused and disoriented when detained, but the police were not convinced by his behavior and took him into custody at Pattaya Police Station.

Unfortunately, no witnesses were found at the scene. The victim was the only source of information, stating that the attacker was his Cambodian friend, who had attempted to approach his woman. However, it remains unclear whether the victim had a wife or what exactly triggered the violent
