British Driver Involved Double Collision That Kills Chonburi Golf Caddy

According to reports, a British driver rear-ended a motorbike carrying a Thai passenger, unfortunately killing her. The woman was killed after being run over by another car after being pushed onto the road by the incident.The victim, a caddy named Ms. Pornwalai Boonpok, 37, was allegedly struck in the rear by a white MG sedan when she was riding on the back of her buddy, Ms. Arunwan Wannawong, 39, on a motorcycle.

The accident threw the two women out of their car and onto the road, where Ms. Pornwalai regrettably was struck by a passing pickup truck. At the scene of the collision on Sukhumvit Road heading toward Pattaya in the Na Jomtien sub-district of the Sattahip district of Chonburi, she was confirmed dead due to her severe head injuries.At 8:30 PM on April 29, the tragic accident was reported to Na Jomtien Police. The victim’s friend, Ms. Arunwan, was also injured but not fatally, and she was taken to a neighboring hospital right afterwards.

Police only named Mr. Christopher, 64, a British national, as the sedan driver who rear-ended the victims. They also identified the pickup driver as Mr. Sommai Klinpirom, 38, a Thai national, who collided with the deceased victim.According to Mr. Sommai, Mr. Christopher hit the victims’ car from behind, causing them to slide into his lane. He claimed that he was unable to brake and struck the victim, killing her.

The British driver’s statement was not reported.

Police were looking into the situation.
