Friday Night Basement Battlers

Basement battlers Cardiff and Fulham are both in action Friday night with Cardiff hoping to build on their recent success at Southampton with another three points at home to Watford. That would push them up to the dizzy heights of 13th in the table and Warnock’s boys might begin to think they really can survive.

Pattaya One. Cardiff’s Sol Bamba. Fully focused on jumping the barrier after scoring at Southampton.

Fulham face a tougher challenge away at West Ham who will be looking to leapfrog Everton and make a challenge for the Europa League.

Heaton To Keep Spurs At Bay

Back in December Burnley, still in their Europa League hangover zone, lost to Spurs at Wembley thanks to a Christian Eriksen 90+ 1 minute goal. At the end of December Burnley suddenly found their hangover cure with a 2-0 win at home to West Ham. In 2019 they haven’t lost a league game and their current form, over the last five games sees them in sixth place.

Pattaya One. Burnley Captain Tom Heaton is back.

Tom Heaton, 33, returned to Burnley’s team against West Ham for his first league game of the season and his form has been instrumental in Burnley success. Last time out, at Brighton, he pushed himself back into the limelight with some superb saves and is in contention to make the next England squad. He seems to have the mindset that will make him England’s number one keeper very soon.
