Tom Aspinall has confirmed his next fight will be on a blockbuster UFC card in Manchester this summer. Initially rumored as a Fight Night event, UFC President Dana White recently upgraded it to a numbered show.
White highlighted the rise of English champions, including interim heavyweight champ Aspinall and welterweight titleholder Leon Edwards. “We’re going to England, we’re coming! I’ve got great fights lined up for the UK fans,” White stated.
Aspinall expressed his excitement about defending his belt, even as the UFC plans the Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic bout for the full heavyweight title.
Returning from Vegas and meetings with the UFC, Aspinall announced his upcoming fight on social media: “I am fighting on UFC Manchester, so I’m back home preparing for that now.”
