Fabio Wardley Promises to "Finally Settle the Score" with Frazer Clarke

British heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley is eager to settle his rivalry with Frazer Clarke when they meet for a rematch on October 12. Their first encounter ended in a thrilling draw in March, and Wardley believes he should have been declared the winner.

“I don’t think it was a draw at all. I pressed the fight and took the action to him,” Wardley stated. “I want it finished off. I want to put that chapter behind me and move forward.”

Clarke shares similar sentiments about the upcoming match. “I just can’t wait to get back in there and smash him in the face again,” he said. “Draws don’t sit well with me. I was devastated at the end of our first fight. I look back and see mistake after mistake that I made. I need to eliminate those errors when the stakes are high.”

At a Thursday press conference, long-time light-heavyweight rivals Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol also faced off in anticipation of their undisputed title clash. Bivol stated, “I wanted to fight against the best in the light-heavyweight division to make my name in this sport. This fight is crucial to prove myself.”

Beterbiev, who postponed the fight due to a knee injury, expressed his readiness: “I always prepare to be at 100 percent.” Known for his knockout power, he added, “I never aim to knock someone out; if it happens, it happens.”

On the undercard, Jack Massey will challenge Jai Opetaia for the IBF cruiserweight world title. Massey remarked, “I recognize how big this opportunity is, and I’m going to seize it. This is my job, and I’m more than ready.”

Liam Cameron hopes to disrupt the rise of light-heavyweight prospect Ben Whittaker, stating, “If he wants to box, it’ll be a good fight. I’ll drag a fight out of him.”

Whittaker remained unfazed, asserting, “Come October 12, you’ll see why I’m so special.”

Additionally, on the same card, Chris Eubank Jr. returns after his impressive win against Liam Smith to face Kamil Szeremeta, while Skye Nicolson defends her WBC super-featherweight title against Raven Chapman.
