Once again, VietJet is running a campaign, this time providing one million reduced tickets for a short time. This time, the airline also promises a pleasant experience on some flights as part of its “Summer Parade” festival with a wide range of entertainment options. The airline frequently develops promotions during the seasonal change or with the opening of a specific route.
One million tickets at a discount are available
With some restrictions, VietJet, a low-cost airline in Vietnam, is once again running a sale that includes one million tickets for $200 (including of fees and taxes). The week-long promotion, which begins on May 10 and lasts through May 17, is called “VietJet pampers you, summer chill,” according to the airline. Tickets purchased at a discount during the special week are valid for travel between August 10 and December 12 on all flights operated by the airline, including those departing from Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. These discounted tickets can be purchased through the airline’s website and mobile app, although availability varies.
The airline further notes that customers who purchase tickets successfully between May 10 and August 15 will receive electronic vouchers they can use to book their next travel on any of its routes between August 10 and December 31.
Summer Festival Parade
VietJet is also providing a joyful experience on some of its flights with the start of its summer season in May, dubbed the “Summer Parade” event.
VietJet offers a variety of entertainment alternatives for its passengers on a few of its international and domestic flights, including celebrity appearances, artistic performances with music and light shows, and participation in regional carnivals and festivities.Through its loyalty program, VietJet customers may now use the SkyJoy app to exchange points for airline tickets and more than 250 international dining, retail, and travel brands.

VietJet’s most recent offer comes shortly after the airline released its financial results for the first three months of this year. Air transport revenue for the carrier was VND12,880 billion (about $553 million), while after-tax profit was VND168 billion ($7.2 million), representing growth of 286% and 320%, respectively, from the previous year.
VietJet carried about 5.4 million passengers on 31,300 flights it operated in the first quarter. In comparison to the data for the same period in 2022, the airline increased these figures by 57% and 75%, respectively.Additionally, the airline has just started new services to Australia and South Korea as part of its ongoing international network expansion. There are 77 Airbus aircraft in its current fleet, including 18 A320-200s, 36 A321-200s, 18 A321neos, and five A330-300s.
