Bikers from a network called “Liberate” gathered in Bangkok on Sunday (September 13) to demand improvement in traffic laws for motorbike riders.
Several riders from various districts in Bangkok came to show their solidarity and protest against a traffic law prohibiting motorcycles from using bridges or tunnels. They believed that the law was quite outdated and everyone on the road should be able to pick any kind of traffic routes safely. They plan to have a discussion with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to seek a solution. The bikers later rode motorcycles to Fai Chai junction to take pictures of a sign prohibiting motorcycles fro. use bridges or tunnels before they moved to the BMA head office to talk with responsible people.
