“Why do the police set up a checkpoint on our payday?”

Prajinburi factory workers ask: “Why do the police set up a checkpoint on our payday?”

Why do the local police set up a checkpoint by the factory when we have just been paid?

Workers at a chicken meat factory in Prajinburi asked a question they all knew the answer to yesterday.

Locals in Nadee police precinct are fed up with being fleeced by cops relieving them of their hard earned wages.

So they posted images online and even managed to get some on the album page of the national police on Facebook.

There a picture had the embarrassing text for the force: “Are these police or highway robbers?”

They felt it was another question that did not need an answer.

Locals say that the cops wait in the undergrowth and jump out as vehicles pass by. And apparently they are not averse to trying to knock young motorcyclists who won’t stop off their bikes with lumps of bamboo.

They called for the checkpoints to stop.

Working, I will grant you that, but you can forget about the ”hard” anywhere in this wasteland.

          • Ken Anderson

Not angry at all, just realistic and factual.

          • pattayhobo

i could swear, with me exposing your daily frustration and anger concerning Thai culture and people has made you you all angry at me .

          • Deadhorse.

What you expose in private and in your own time is entirely your business.
Though how you manage to expose the full length of your tongue without going outside is beyond comprehension.

The guy hit off his bike must have been bamboozled.

  • why don’t the chicken meat factory workers of Prajinburi just get ‘road’ legal like the rest of us. it isn’t difficult and it costs relatively little

  • Ken Anderson

There is a simple answer to this problem, maybe someone could point it out to the complainants.
At least on payday, but preferably every day. Wear a helmet when driving your motorbike. Get yourself a driving licence. Make sure tax and insurance is up to date. Ensure your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition. Lastly, I know this one will be extremely difficult for most Thai’s to comprehend, drive in a sensible and considerate manner.
If they all did that, highly likely the Keystone Cops would remain hidden in the undergrowth.

    • pattayhobo

Have a listen to the know all pom farang banging on giving out advice to Thai people .

      • Deadhorse.

        At least it’s free.

        • pattayhobo

good things nobody listens to you then

          • Deadhorse.

Who is this nobody who listens to me?.

    • why doesnt one of the somchai factory workers just place a dozen or so bear traps in & around the undergrowth a day in advance of payday

    • soidog

Ken,what passes as obvious to a normal intellect is abstruse to some.

  • pattayhobo

You couldn’t make this stuff up, I’m sick of these Thai monkey keystone cops with their cheating and lying and corruption. At least they’re ripping off fellow Thai monkeys this time.

  • Ok now

Companies these days should just pay people direct into their bank accounts and avoid having to pay cash.

    • popeye the sailorman

great idea but do they know what direct debit is here in Thailand??

  • Deadhorse.

They will be charging these chicken workers for crossing the road next.

  • John

Thought the Chan-o-Cha government were going to eradicate
This very kind of corruption,I said at the time “good luck with that”

  • Tony Akhurst

Why did the chicken & meat factory workers post this on pattaya news when they new the answer If they got themselves a license and there bikes taxed and insured and made roadworthy they would not have anything to worry about. (But on the other hand the bib will always find a way to extort there tea money from the workers.)
